Celebrate National Poetry Month with NorthWord Magazine with its Issue 33 Launch on April 25, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Fort McMurray International Airport, Level 3.
Join Issue 33 Guest Editor & Arts Council Wood Buffalo’s Engagement Manager Emma Carter with the release of her Plastic themed-edition. With the event following after the height of Earth Day, guests will find an edition filled with literature and artwork filled with thoughts on sustainability and environmental awareness.

NorthWord’s launch events are always free to the public to attend under the direction of the Northern Canada Collective Society for Writers (NCCSW), which is a local non-profit that provides funding and support to publish the literary publication. The 2026 magazine launch events are made possible through support from the Fort McMurray Airport Authority.
