About
Jackie Morisette is a self taught local artist who has resided in the Wood Buffalo region for the last 18 years. She began her art journey as a child with her mother who was an oil landscape painter but left practicing until adulthood. At that time, she only painted on a part time basis or when it fit it into her schedule. A few years ago, Jackie decided to focus more time on her artistic skills.
From leaving oils to learn more about acrylics, Jackie has transitioned into watercolors and pastels as well as some digital work. Her work is comprised of a variety of subjects and mediums, from real life scenes to pieces pulled from her imagination. Currently, her primary focus is urban landscapes from her travels or picking out the beauty she sees at home.
