There’s something really special about this piece—it’s where my journey as an artist truly began.

Heart of a Lion is an original painting I created in high school, at a time when I was just starting to explore my style and fall in love with painting expressive subjects. This piece captures a quiet strength—the calm, steady gaze of a lion paired with a subtle, unexpected softness in the heart-shaped nose.

Painted in a monochromatic palette, the textures of the fur are layered with loose, expressive brushstrokes, giving the piece movement and depth. The warm amber eyes draw you in, creating a connection that feels both powerful and intimate.
