Swamp Rat Experience: Call for Choreographer
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Swamp Rat Experience (SRE) is proud to produce the 2023 Waypoints fundraising dinner theatre, taking place at the Suncor Energy Centre for the Performing Arts on February 24 & 25, 2023. Waypoints is a non-profit in the Wood Buffalo region helping individuals affected by domestic, family and sexual violence. This is an interactive dinner theatre experience where the audience will be served food and drinks during the performance. The cast, crew and Artistic Team are made up of artists local to Wood Buffalo. SRE is donating part of the production fee as an in-kind contribution in an effort to support Waypoints’ important work in our community.
ELIGIBILITY
- Must be a Wood Buffalo resident for the duration of the project
- Must be 16 years of age or older
ABOUT THE COMMISSION
SRE is looking to contract a Choreographer for the 2023 Waypoints dinner theatre. This includes choreographing 2-3 dance numbers for a cast of 7 actors that are engaging, fun, and interactive. All actors are aged 18 or older. Actors may or may not be experienced dancers.
- Actor auditions are held December 9-11, 2022
- Rehearsals run January 22-February 23, 2023

FEE
This opportunity pays $800 (inclusive of GST).

Submissions must be sent to swampratexperience@gmail.com. Submissions must be received by 12:00 PM (noon) on November 22, 2022. Late submissions will not be considered.
