The Stabilize Live Music Grant program is an unprecedented contribution to the live music sector, which is one of the hardest hit and will be one of the last to recover.
Musicians and industry professionals will be able to apply for a one-time Individual Micro Grant of $1,500. For-profit music venues and businesses will be eligible for a one-time Music Business Innovation Micro Grant of up to $25,000.
The Individual - Micro Grant program is designed to provide financial assistance to artists and professionals in the Alberta music industry who have been adversely impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. Funded by the Government of Alberta, this program will allow individuals to apply for one-time partial, or complete funding of a project or initiative up to a maximum of $1,500. These funds are intended to support innovative creation, education, promotion, and management projects and artist’s businesses that fall within the scope of the music industry.
The Music Business Innovation Micro Grant program is designed to provide one-time funding to live music venues and other music industry businesses who have incurred financial losses due to the COVID-19 global pandemic. Funded by the Government of Alberta, this program supports projects that aim to sustain venues and businesses during the pandemic and innovative initiatives, platforms, and services that address the needs of Alberta’s music industry. This program encourages creativity in business and the fostering, protection, and creation of jobs within the music sector in Alberta.
