The 2021 Street Banner Program invites residents to submit an artistic design that explores the rhythms of Wood Buffalo. Banners displayed in rural locations will include designs from residents in the rural communities. Submissions are due by 4 p.m. on May 25, 2021.
Design theme
Explore the Rhythms of Wood Buffalo!
Wood Buffalo is a place of innovation, diversity, spirit and strength. The changing of seasons, the rivers that flow and the boundless skies connect us all to nature and land. A diverse community, with global connections and traditional celebrations, strengthens our spirit and contributes to a vibrant and dynamic background for arts, culture and music.
This year’s theme supports Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo Economic Development & Tourism’s new Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo place brand. For more information, visit Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo’s website.

Artwork will be selected by a volunteer selection panel from community organizations. Each resident is allowed two submissions. Selected artwork will be displayed within the region until Spring 2022.
