2022 Pride YMM Festival
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Pride YMM Festival is an annual celebration of the 2SLGBTQ+ community in the Wood Buffalo region. The festival builds awareness and promotes inclusion of 2SLGBTQ+ in Wood Buffalo. Celebrations for 2022 will be held on June 25th at Heritage Shipyard in Fort McMurray. This marks the 6th year of the festival, which will include performances, market vendors, awards, competitions, and more.
ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
Pride YMM is looking for a dynamic group of festival market vendors to help create an exciting atmosphere for shopping, learning, and celebrating the local 2SLGBTQ+ community.
VENDOR TYPES
Pride YMM is looking for a variety of vendors that may include, but are not limited to:
- Arts & Photography
- Bath, Body & Spirit
- Clothing & Accessories
- Crafts
- Flowers & Plants
- Makeup & Body Painting
- Retail
- Specialty Items
Food vendors require special considerations and permissions. If you wish to sell food, please provide details in the application form.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
- Vendor entry is by application only. (Please complete this application form.)
- Priority will be given to vendors selling pride-themed items.
- Applications are welcome from everyone, though preference will be given to local vendors from the Wood Buffalo region, and those who self-identify as 2SLGBTQ+
REQUIREMENTS:
All accepted vendors will be required to:
- pay a $50 Vendor Fee
- sign a contract agreement with Pride YMM
- have a business licence
If accepted, food vendors will need to follow additional requirements as specified by the venue and Alberta Health Services.
VENDOR FEES
Accepted vendors are required to pay a $50 Vendor Fee, which includes
- Table
- Chair
- 10’ x 10’ tent space (NOT GUARANTEED)
Note: Vendor booths are not equipped with power. If you require power, please specify in the application form.
SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION
Please fill out this application form.
Vendor applications will be accepted until May 2 at 12 p.m. (noon).
- Filling out the application form does not guarantee acceptance.
- Accepted applicants will be notified by Pride YMM.
- Once accepted, vendors will receive an acceptance letter with a contract and fees due.
APPLICATION DEADLINE
Submissions must be received by May 2, 2022 at 12 p.m. (noon).
Applications will not be processed if not completed correctly. Late applications will not be accepted.
ABOUT PRIDE YMM
Pride YMM is a group of community members committed to raising awareness and promoting inclusion of 2SLGBTQ+ people in Wood Buffalo. Pride YMM coordinates 2SLGBTQ+ affirming events, support programs, advocates for 2SLGBTQ+ inclusion, and provides training and resources. Their goal is to unite and empower gender diverse people and people of diverse sexual orientations. Pride YMM aims to foster belonging and create safer spaces and communities for all.
