The Contemporary Art Galleries Association (AGAC) is inviting independent curators from across Canada to submit proposals for a group exhibition to be presented at the Plural Contemporary Art Fair 2027 in Montreal.
The selected exhibition will be presented at the entrance of the Grand Quay Pavilion from April 8-11, 2027 and should explore relevant contemporary artistic, cultural, or social themes through a clear and accessible curatorial concept. The exhibition may feature up to 12 artists represented by or collaborating with galleries participating in the fair.
Who Can ApplyÂ
This call is open to emerging and established independent curators based in Canada.
Curators may apply:
- Individually
- As a duo
- As a collective
Applicants who work for a commercial gallery are not eligible.
Compensation
The selected curator will receive:
- $3,500 CAD curator fee
- Additional CARFAC-RAAV fees for curator-led public or programming activities
- CARFAC-RAAV fees for participating artists
- Logistical and technical support from AGAC
- Professional documentation of the exhibition
