Vera Fustic
Vera Fustic was born and raised in a small picturesque town in Serbia-a province of former Yugoslavia-and lived there until moving to Canada in 1997. From her childhood, she developed a deep love and respect for art and nature. She is a self-taught artist whose work is influenced by the masterpieces of French Impressionism and German Expressionism.
Vera has been involved in different forms of art media including painting, drawing, ceramics and face painting.
Vera’s art is her visual connection to her Slavic heritage and Byzantine tradition. Her eclectic and mystical paintings are seen as her spiritual exile from the modern world.
