Shaylean Gladu is a Nêhiyawak poet, writer, and speaker from Fort McMurray, Alberta. Her work explores Indigenous identity, intergenerational healing, resilience, and the connections between land, family, and community. Through poetry and storytelling, Shaylean is committed to uplifting Indigenous voices, fostering meaningful dialogue, and creating spaces for connection, reflection, and healing. Her work has received recognition from the Kemosa Scholarship (2026), Words in Motion (2025/2026), and has been published in various publications.
