Jamal is the Programs Consultant at Arts Council Wood Buffalo, where she leads research and policy development for Arts INC. Her work focuses on creating sustainable frameworks to support future facility operations and programming.
With ten years of experience in children and youth programming, Jamal brings a strong background in access, recreation, and inclusion. Her combined municipal and nonprofit experience provides a valuable perspective on stakeholder consultation and interdepartmental collaboration, while remaining grounded in grassroots community impact.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Sciences with a major in microbiology, along with certificates in Public Relations and Volunteer Management. Jamal is also the author of two poetry books, It's past midnight somewhere (2020) and The Lavender I Lost (2024).
