Byron Gard is the Programs Coordinator for Arts Council Wood Buffalo. He specializes in planning, implementing, and evaluating programs, including Artist in Residence and Seniors & the Arts.Â
With a strong foundation in recreation, community development, and sports management, Byron brings a passion for creating inclusive, engaging, and impactful programs that foster community well-being and growth. As a former Recreation Director, he has had the opportunity to oversee a wide range of initiatives, from youth and adult sports leagues to large-scale community events and facility operations, always with a focus on inclusion, engagement, and impact.
Byron holds a diploma in Recreation and Community Development from Saskatchewan Polytechnic and a Management & Supervision Certificate from Keyano College, along with an Arena Operator Certificate, Ball Diamond and Sportsfield Maintenance Certificate, and a Facility Management Certificate all from the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association. Â
