Emma Carter is a multi-disciplinary artist from Fort McMurray, Alberta. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and Theatre from the University of Victoria, a Management & Supervision Certificate from Keyano College and MacEwan University, and is currently completing a certificate in Visual Design, Specialising in Art Theory and Practice through the University of Calgary.Â
Emma’s work at Arts Council Wood Buffalo includes overseeing membership, managing marketing and communications, and leading engagement initiatives and special events.Â
Emma’s creative practice centres around seeking out playfulness in its various forms. She is inspired by pop culture, current events, and subversion. As an arts educator, she is passionate about creating safe and inclusive spaces for students to be curious, make big choices, and learn collaboratively.
