Studio Studio: Art Lab is a four-week artist exploration program. designed for young creators ages 8-11.
Each week, participants will learn about a different historical or contemporary artist, exploring their ideas, artistic voice, techniques, and creative process before using that inspiration to create original artwork of their own.
Through hands-on art making, reflection, and creative exploration, participants will work with traditional art materials while developing curiosity, self-expression, creative problem-solving, and confidence in their own artistic environment where young artists can experiment, take creative risks, and connect with their peers.
Classes take place every Tuesday in November from 4:30-6:00 PM. at YMCA Eagle Ridge, Meeting Room 2.
Registration is $220 + GST for all four sessions, with all art materials and a personal sketchbook and journal included.
