The Vermont Studio Center (VSC) is accepting applications for its 2027 residencies for artists and writers. The program provides artists and writers from around the world with dedicated time and space to focus on their creative practice while building connections with a community of fellow writers, mentors, and collaborators.
Residencies are available for two, three, or four weeks and will take place between July and December 2027. Participants can take part in resident presentations, open studios, and VSC's Visiting Artists & Writers program.
Who Can Apply
The residency is open to artists and writers from around the world. Applications are reviewed by rotating juries of practicing artists and writers.
Artists and writers working at various stages of their careers are encouraged to apply.
Fellowships
All accepted residents receive a partial fellowship, helping offset the cost of attending the residency. Approximately 35% of accepted residents receive full fellowships.
Additional fellowship opportunities may also be available depending on an applicant's eligibility.
