Threads of Strength - MMEIP Awareness Through Art, Stories & Community is a meaningful day of reflection, remembrance, connection, and awareness honouring Missing and Murdered Indigenous People and the families, friends, and communities who continue to carry their stories.
Community members are invited to visit the MMEIP Art Display throughout the day, featuring artwork and visual pieces connected to remembrance, strength, healing, and community. An evening Community Gathering will provide a welcoming space to listen, reflect, connect, and honour loved ones through art and shared stories.
The evening gathering will feature:
- MMEIP-inspired art and visual displays
- Stories shared in honour and remembrance of loved ones
- Opportunities for reflection, connection, and community
- Blue jean jacket and red dress beading take-home kits, available while supplies last

Call for Indigenous Artists & CreatorsÂ
Indigenous artists and creators are invited to contribute paintings, visual art, beadwork, traditional Indigenous art, mixed-media pieces, and other meaningful works connected to MMEIP awareness, remembrance, strength, healing, or community. Submitted artwork will be displayed with care and respect throughout the event.
