About the Opportunities
In 2027, MacEwan University is opening its new Triffo School of Business Building at its campus in downtown Edmonton. This new building project includes two opportunities for artists:
- An artwork from an Indigenous Artist from the Wood Buffalo region will be produced in vinyl installed on the windows of the Bouchier Forum event space on the main floor of the building.
- Artwork will be installed across the public spaces of five floors of the building. All artworks installed through this project in the Triffo School of Business will become part of the MacEwan Art Collection.

1. Bouchier Forum Artwork
- The artwork will be produced in vinyl and installed on the interior of the windows that line the Bouchier Forum’s west side (red arrow indicates location)
- There is no requirement that an artist has worked with vinyl or digital files before. The Mitchell Art Gallery will work with the invited artist to coordinate a high-resolution scan or photograph of an artwork (not limited to a specific medium) to produce the vinyl
- Â The invited artist will be asked to consider the many Indigenous students who leave their homes in the Wood Buffalo region and across Treaty 8 to come to university at MacEwan
2. Art Acquisition for public spaces across the Triffo School of Business
- Public spaces in the building will feature artwork from artists who are connected to Treaty 6, 8, and across the prairies
- 2D and 3D artworks of all media appropriate for public space will be considered
