Info and Feedback Session: creative project opportunity for an Indigenous artist in the Wood Buffalo region

Are you an Indigenous painter, beader, maker, or have another kind of  creative practice?

The Mitchell Art Gallery (MAG) at MacEwan University in Edmonton is interested in meeting you and learning more about your work. The MAG team will be hosting an info session about an opportunity for an Indigenous artist from the Wood Buffalo region. An invited artist will create an artwork that would be installed in the Bouchier Forum space at the university’s new Triffo School of Business building, during the summer of 2027. The goal of this info session  is to share information about this opportunity and meet and learn about the  artists and creative people in your community.

Food will be provided. Drawing materials and colouring sheets for children will be available.

What to Expect:

Welcome: Introduction to the Mitchell Art Gallery, meet the team, and learn  about the project

Artist Roundtable: Hear from participants about their artwork. Feel welcome to  share an image or two.

Question/Discussion Period: Ask questions about the project. In addition, guided questions to participants to learn more about the work they make and  past experience.
