Description

'At Closer Inspection' is a mixed-media collage influenced by the surreal whimsy of Wonderland, toying with the scale and mixed colour scheme. The work reimagines reality as a negotiation between the demands of modern life and the necessity of art withinit. The weaving of the sepia industrial images with the colourful playful imagery visualizes that tension, and the woman looking from above represents the analysis and control of perception.

This piece was featured on the cover of Arts Council Wood Buffalo’s 2024 Annual Report.

Each 8.5 x 11 inch print is made and packaged by me; printed on quality matte photo paper, backed, sleeved, and ready to frame. (This print includes a 1/2 inch white border around the artwork, and presents best in an 8.5 x 11" frame with no matte.) I handle every step myself, so what you’re getting is a small-batch piece from my studio, not a mass print.
