ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I decided to crate a portrait of the Deweys in recognition of their efforts as community members. Larry and Donna Dewey are known on their street as Grandpa and Grandma Dewey and the children on their street enjoy the winter ice rink that Larry builds for them to enjoy. Larry also assists with bike tune-ups for those who need them. Larry and Donna have mentioned many community organizations that they have volunteered with. Since the flood and the pandemic they have been missing their volunteer activities, and the rough times of the flood and pandemic have affected them deeply. Larry and Donna both have positive outlooks on life and remain a positive influence on the community and people around them. The portrait is for their efforts to be community members to look up to. I appreciate and respect Larry and Donna very much.
