ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This piece depicts the green lush fields in Finland with poppy flowers as a cultural ornament. Also the poppy here represents the youthful blood that runs along the Finnish lands. The snowy owl is apart of Mirjami story’s of her childhood. She was amazed by this remarkable creature, representing the white silent snow in the Finnish winters. It is a sense of joy and longevity of Mirjami’s spirit that I am illustrating in my artwork.
