Shweta Suthar has made the RMWB her home for the last 9 years. She lives and is engaged in spreading arts activities in this vibrant community.
Shweta is a theatre artist, dancer, choreographer, and the founder of the local dance group Divine Group Of India by Shweta Suthar. Before moving to Fort McMurray, Shweta spent 8 years acting in Gujarati Cinema. She was also a news anchor in Western India. In the past 7 years, Shweta has written and directed many different, local comedy-dramas. She also starred in “Ubuntu” with the Multicultural Association of Wood Buffalo as well as “Freeing Heaven’s Secrets” by Symmetree Theatre. In 2018, Shweta received the 2018 Wood Buffalo Excellence in Arts Awards in the category of Dance.
