I create functional art pieces with a focus on sustainability, supporting local and highlighting the natural beauty of our region. My intent is to craft long lasting products that help reduce waste, using natural textiles, often upcycled or made with Canadian fibre, and mainly dyed or printed with local plants. Think reusable cotton cloth gift wrap (also known as furoshiki) dyed and printed with abundant flowers and trees from the Boreal forest and one of kind art scarves knit with hand dyed and handspun yarn from a local sheep or recycled fabric and yarn scraps.
