Elizabeth McMaster, born and raised in Chemainus on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, is a versatile musician and dedicated piano teacher with a rich background in music education and performance. She spent her later high school years in the Okanagan before marrying and moving to Regina, Saskatchewan, where she lived for 16 years with her husband and four daughters. After returning to British Columbia, Elizabeth and her family recently relocated to Fort McMurray, where they are excited to become actively involved in the local arts community.
Elizabeth holds an A.R.C.T. Piano Performers Degree and has taught piano for many years, offering lessons tailored to the individual desires and goals of her students. She instructs in a variety of styles, from classical music—including different initial learning approaches—to pop, chording, worship music, and even playing by ear. Elizabeth also teaches music theory for any instrument, sharing her comprehensive knowledge with students of all backgrounds.
An accomplished composer, Elizabeth writes music for various occasions, such as church worship services, weddings, birthdays, funerals, and more. She has also performed extensively across diverse settings and genres, including Broadway musicals (which she finds particularly enjoyable), restaurant openings, church events, weddings, funerals, concerts, and as an accompanist for piano exams. Alongside her husband, who plays the trumpet, she delights in performing together in a variety of styles and venues, contributing to a vibrant and engaging musical life.
