Hanna is the Co-Founder, Artistic Director and Executive Producer of non-profit theatre company Swamp Rat Experience and an avid supporter of the vibrant Wood Buffalo arts community. With nearly a decade of involvement, Hanna has held key roles like Artistic Director and Resource and Communications Manager for Theatre; Just Because, Director of ADFA North Region, and board member of Alberta Drama Festival Association, Arts Council Wood Buffalo, NorthWord, and Theatre Alberta. Having begun her creative journey on stage, her love for the arts community inspired her to follow her passion for creating opportunities for Wood Buffalo artists to explore and grow in a safe environment, leading her to arts management and administration.
Hanna is also a performance artist, originally from Sweden, who has called Wood Buffalo home for the past decade. She fell in love with theatre after being cast as Belle in the 2014 production of “A Christmas Carol” and has had the privilege of performing in, directing, and producing numerous productions and projects since. Hanna is constantly looking to grow in her artistic practice and loves exploring the performing arts both on and off stage.
