Jules Nokohoo is the Rural Arts Support Liaison for the South and is based out of Janvier, where he was born and raised. Jules is fluent in the Dené language, the father of three, and is also a proud grandfather. He graduated from Composite High School in Fort McMurray, and is an ex-RCMP officer. He also has experience as an HEO and community liaison, and has served on Council with Chipewyan Prairie First Nation, and the local school board.
Jules advocates for the importance of the traditional values that Elders share through storytelling, and sees an opportunity for youth to grow and learn by being involved with Elders. Jules is still searching for his artistic talent and is looking forward to working with local artisans.
