Jamal-e-Fatima Rafat, AKA Jamal, calls herself a prairie girl for the ten years spent in Saskatchewan growing and developing as the person she is today. She has a Masters in Science from Pakistan and a certificate in Public Relations from University of Regina.

Jamal has around 15 years of combined experience in the social profit sector and the municipal government. Before joining Arts Council Wood Buffalo, Jamal was the Executive Director of KidSport Wood Buffalo. She made the decision to take on a new venture with ACWB to step outside of her comfort zone and open doors to a new, exciting chapter.

She enjoys crafting during her downtime and can be found binge watching and feeding her new found love for K-drama. On a daily basis, she enjoys spoiling her 7 year old Himalayan cat, Mia. On an exciting note, she and her husband love travelling the world, exploring one country after another.
