In-between: Exploration of Mental Health Through Art

Alberta Artists are invited to help generate conversations about mental health issues by submitting artwork that represents the complex subject of that affects 1 in 4 individuals.
Media: Paint mediums, printmaking mediums, drawing mediums, sculpture
Work Size: wall art not to exceed 48” wide, sculpture / 3D sizes and weights will be reviewed in application
Entry Requirements: Artists are invited to submit a proposal for 1 – 4 pieces to be included in this group show.
Entry Package to be emailed to [email protected] and to include:
- Completed Application Form
- Artist Biography and Statement – may include special statement related to the theme
- Digital image/s of submission/s related to theme
Curator will select artwork from the digital images submitted that represent the theme of the group show.
Successful applicants will be informed by January 20, 2020 via email or telephone
Artwork to be delivered on Saturday, February 22, 2020
Delivery of completed and ready-to-hang artwork is the responsibility of the artist. Arrangements can be made to deliver early.
Opening Reception: Saturday, February 29, 2020
Artwork to be picked up Friday, April 3rd after 2 PM until Saturday, April 4th 4 PM
Publicity for the show will be lead by the Multicultural Heritage Centre. Participating artists will be encouraged to support publicity through their personal networks.
