Call for Indigenous Photographers for the Exposure Photography Festival! Submissions can be made to Indigenous Curator, Autumn Whiteway, by 11:59pm on January 7, 2022 at [email protected]
This exhibition will be held at The GRAND (608 1 St SW, Calgary) during the month of February 2022.
This is a paid opportunity. Emerging and experienced Indigenous photographers welcome.
Mino-Pimatisiwin: Reclaiming the “Good Life”. Mino-Pimatisiwin is a Cree concept that describes how the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual come together to create balance and harmony in one’s life. This exhibition will focus on photographic representations of this concept. Examples include how connections with Indigenous cultural practices; the land; and kin relationships (including non-human kin) create a sense of well-being and happiness.
Submissions should include:
1) High resolution image
2) Title, year, description of piece and how it fits the theme
3) Artist bio
